What is collagen?
Our skin is the largest organ in the human body and collagen is a protein that represents up to three quarters of it. Collagen is responsible in ensuring the healthy maintenance of our skin, bones, and joints. It is essentially the protein that ‘glues’ our body together - even the word itself even originates from the Greek word for glue (Kólla)!
Is Thank Collagen safe?
Yes! Safety is embedded within our core culture and is at the forefront of all decision making. Thank Collagen products have been manufactured in the UK using accredited facilities to uphold high quality standards.
What type of collagen do we use?
We source our collagen from fish!
Does Thank Collagen taste of fish?
Not one bit! Our ingredients have been carefully formulated using 100% natural flavours & colours to remove any taste of fish, so you can enjoy a tasty experience of smooth mixed berries.
How does collagen affect my hair?
Keratin is a protein found in your hair and collagen contains amino acids which are used to build Keratin. Collagen can therefore lead to a more positive impact on your hair.
What is “Hydrolysed” collagen and why is it important?
The process on how collagen becomes hydrolysed is known as “Hydrolysis”. Hydrolysed essentially means that the collagen has gone through a procedure so it can be broken down into smaller parts to become more easily digestible.
Why is Thank Collagen in the form of powder?
Powder is important because collagen is constructed within the Dermis, which can be found in the deeper levels of our skin. This means that products such as creams can find it harder to penetrate and access. Consuming collagen in a powdered form and mixed with liquid, such as water, means the body can absorb it and transport it to the Dermis more effectively, improving its absorption rate.
What does Non-GMO Mean?
GMO stands for ‘Genetically Modified Organism’. Thank Collagen offers non-GMO products, which means our products have been created without any genetic engineering!
